Welcome to Tayside Ferret Rescue

Unfortunately ferrets are neglected in the UK, there are hundreds of unwanted ferrets in rescue centres throughout Britain, and this number doesn't include the ferrets which were released into the wild by irresponsible owners who had grown bored with them.

Tayside ferret rescue was established in 2006 in the city of Dundee, TFR are now based in Blairgowrie, with the objectives to provide care and a re-homing service for unwanted ferrets and finding the ferrets a good forever home.

Steve& Linda both run Tayside ferret rescue, they both deal with surrenders and abandoned ferrets from all over Scotland. Ferret boarding is also available.

Re homing a ferret from a rescue is better than getting one from a newspaper. A rescue can tell you what the ferret is like and what ferret would suit you as they have been monitored for their temperament.

All ferrets that come into the rescue will be examined by a veterinary surgeon as necessary.

Due to limited funding:

Tayside ferret rescue cannot continue to spay and castrate any adult ferret. However, new owners will be asked to sign an agreement to have this done when the ferret reaches maturity.
